POSTULANCY

The Postulancy, as the stage of initiation in the following of Jesus in the religious life implies an attitude of personal response to the call that He makes, acceptance and progressive assimilation of new values and a certain break with the form of life one is attempting to leave behind. It offers the young woman an experience of fraternal living and of accompaniment that facilitates her discernment in the face of a new life that she wants to assume and for the Congregation to gauge her suitability (cfr. GPF 152)

The time for Postulancy is two years.
